Unweit des Heritage-Museum in Brusje hat der Initiator des Museums, Petar Hraste, eine alte \u00d6lm\u00fchle rekonstruiert und aufgestellt. Auf der beigestellten Infotafel ist in kroatischer und englischer Sprache vermerkt:<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Stari mlin za masline (uljara) slu\u017eio je za drobljenje i pre\u0161anje maslina kako bi se dobilo maslinovo ulje. Sastojao se od kamenog ili drvenog kota\u010da koji je drobio masline, te pre\u0161e koja je istiskivala ulje.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

An old olive mill (oil press) was used for crushing and pressing olives in order to obtain olive oil. It consisted of a stone or wooden wheel that crushed the olives, and a press that squeezed out the oil.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Die alte Olivenm\u00fchle diente dem Zerkleinern und Pressen von Oliven zur Gewinnung von Oliven\u00f6l. Sie bestand aus einem steinernen oder h\u00f6lzernen Mahlrad, das die Oliven zerdr\u00fcckte, sowie aus einer Presse, mit der das \u00d6l ausgepresst wurde.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Prvi sustavi za preradu maslina pojavili su se u anti\u010dkoj Gr\u010dkoj oko 2000 godina prije Krista, Kasnije su ga razvili i pro\u0161irili Rimljani, koji su unaprijedili tehnologiju pre\u0161a i uljara. Prvi su stigli na na\u0161 otok stigli kroz anti\u010dku gr\u010dku kolonizaciju Jadrana (4. st. pr. Kr.).<\/p><\/div><\/div>

The first olive processing systems appeared in ancient Greece around 2000 BC. Later, they were developed and spread by the Romans, who improved the technology of presses and olive mills. Die ersten Anlagen zur Verarbeitung von Oliven entstanden im antiken Griechenland etwa 2000 Jahre vor Christus. Sp\u00e4ter wurden sie von den R\u00f6mern weiterentwickelt und verbreitet, die die Technik der Pressen und \u00d6lm\u00fchlen wesentlich verbesserten. Auf unsere Insel gelangten die ersten Olivenm\u00fchlen im Zuge der griechischen Kolonisation der Adria im 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
